Basics for vaccination of dogs and cats

Our pets are threatened by a variety of infectious diseases. The best prevention is still the regular prophylactic vaccination of our pets.

The first injection should be given to puppies and kittens at the age of about 8-9 weeks, and the first booster is given then after another month at the age of 3-4 months.

What vaccinations may impact the future disposition of the animal and the consequent potential risk of infection with infectious diseases.

Also the individual needs of the pet owner comes to play in the selection of vaccinations.

The initial immunization to the given disease is completed after the first follow-up vaccination after one year.

After that the different vaccinations will be repeated in regular partly different intervals to ensure a continuous resilient immunization.
